Key to Life - New Life

Receiving Christ, we are born into God's family through the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit who indwells every believer...this is called regeneration or the "new birth."

You can receive Christ right now by FAITH through PRAYER (talking with God).God knows your heart and is not so concerned with your words as He is with the attitude of your heart. Here is one suggested prayer.

What to pray:

Dear Lord Jesus,

I know that I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness. I believe that You died for my sins. I want to turn from my sins. I now invite you to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as the Lord and Saviour of my life.

In Your name. Amen.

God's assurance of eternal life

If you've prayed this prayer and trust in Christ, then the Bible says that you can be sure you have eternal life.

 The Bible Says:

...for, 'everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

Romans 10:13

Thank God often that Jesus Christ is in your life, and that he will never leave you

Romans 8:38,39

Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.

Revelation 3:20

He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.

1 John 5:12-13

You can know that the Spirit of Christ lives in you and that you have eternal life from the moment you invited Christ into your life, because he has promised.

What about feelings ?

Do not depend on how you feel.

We can always rely on God and his promises in the Bible. But we cannot always rely on our feelings. Because of this, the Christian lives by trusting God and what he has said through the Bible, rather than by trusting in feelings - which may come and go.

God and his Word - the Bible Our trust in God and his Word. The results of trusting God.

The train will run with or without the guard's van, but it would be impossible to pull the train by the guards van. In the same way it is important to rely on God and what he has said in the Bible, and not be pushed around by our feelings.
Once you have completed these steps, the journey of being adopted by God begins. It doesn't end here! next
