Christmas is the biggest holiday of the year, with a deep religious significance for Christians.
- it causes us to shop to excess, eat to excess!
- affects our advertising, decorating, postal service and TV listings
- and many complain it's gotten too commercial

Christmas is much more fun when you know some facts behind the holiday. Christmas celebrates the miraculous birth of Jesus Christ in Bethlehem, as recounted in the Bible's book of Matthew 1-2; Mark 1:1-8; Luke 1-2). Christmas is a reminder of Christ's humble beginning as a human child in this world. His birth merely set the stage for the power, glory, and salvation that would be revealed in His life, death, and resurrection! |
