The Worship Service: What to expect
Service Duration
Most morning services last about an hour. We generally have an Evening Service once a month, usually the third Sunday, it lasts about an hour also. If you need to leave during a service, just slip out quietly.
Service Format
The normal basic format for the MORNING service is:
- Singing
- Children's talk - by the minister( then children leave for Sunday School
- Collection
- Prayers
- Bible Reading - Old Testament
- Singing
- Bible Reading - New Testament
- Singing
- Sermon
- Singing
Communion
Our services include the Lord's Supper (Communion) on the first Sunday of each month. This involves eating a small piece of bread and drinking a little glass of red grape juice. This is done by Christian believers in memory of the death and resurrection of Jesus. But if you prefer not to, you may leave before communion -- no one will think it's odd.
Bathrooms
Should you need to go to the bathrooms, toilets can be found in the church hall, there is also a disabled toilet.
